W. Kohler Lamp and Shade Company is a 49 year old business that creates truly unique and stunning pieces. The combination of turquoise inlaid mesquite wooden bases with 100% copper shades is a perfect blend of Southwestern flair and rustic elegance. The fact that each piece is handmade in the USA adds to the value and charm.

W Kohler was originally crafted by Wally Kohler. Wally made his first piece in Arizona in his garage. Wally & his wife Patti decided to take their craft to New Mexico. This is where Richard (Skip) Kivelhen stumbled upon a unique business opportunity. After taking the leap of faith, Skip was able to grow the business into its present glory.

After many years, Skip handed over the business to a long time apprentice, Cole Bates. Today we are currently serving around 150 brick & mortar stores, along with the National Parks and magazines like Black Forest Decor. We are a family owned small business that strives to create 100% handcrafted and unique lighting that last decades.
